Kindergarten – Fifth Grade P.B.I.S.
This year’s PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Support) program for grades Kindergarten through Fifth Grade will continue with last year’s format. Each grade has its own set of reinforcements and consequences for the PBIS Behavior Expectations. Each grade will be determining who has followed the school rules of
Be Safe, Be Responsible and Be Respectful.
The three weeks for PBIS Recognition will be:
December 10-14, 2012
Assembly will be Monday, Dec.10th at 2:30P.M. . Activity day will be Friday, December 14th.
March 11-14, 2013
Assembly will be Monday, March 11 at 1:00P.M. Activity day will be Thursday, March14th.
June 3-7, 2013
Assembly will be Monday, June 3rd at 1:45P.M. Activity day will be Friday, June 7th.
End-of-year trip for any child who is a Peak Performer
will be tentatively set for Monday, June 10th. It will probably be the bowling/movie trip to Au Sable Forks. This has been a very successful trip.
If school is canceled on the day of the assembly, all make-up assemblies will be held on the very next day of school, same time and same place.
All student achievers and the top Peak Performer for each class will receive a certificate and award. Students will once again get a lion’s paw to put on the PBIS Mountain Range. The Peak Performers will also have their photograph taken. This year’s awards for the Student Achievers will be a certificate and a school store gift certificate. The Peak Performers will get a framed certificate, trophy and special chain with charm. First time(ever) Peak Perfomers will get a car magnet. All classrooms will receive special PBIS pencils.
The end-of-year trip for any child who is a Peak Performer will be in June. Where the Peak Performers are going will be announced at a later date. Also, Mrs. Hutchins is continuing the Principal’s Challenge where classrooms can earn backpacks that turn into boots with special class activities as prizes.
