Adirondack Community Action Programs, Inc. (ACAP)
Adirondack Community Action Programs, Inc. was established in 1965 to serve the needs of and advocate for low-income families in Essex County, NY. Part of a network of 1,000 Community Action Agencies nationwide, ACAP employees work with families in our community on a daily basis to eliminate the effects of poverty and move them toward self-sufficiency.
ACAP's mission is to connect with people, values and resources to promote personal, economic and community growth.

Essex County Historical Society | Adirondack History Center Museum
The Adirondack History Center Museum displays artifacts from over two centuries of life in Essex County and the central Adirondacks. The diverse collection includes:
- Artifacts from 18th century forts at Crown Point
- An 1850's Washington printing press
- An 1887 Concord stagecoach
- A 1920's stage curtain advertising area businesses
- An extensive collection of antique dolls
- An iron bobsled from the 1932 Olympic Games
- An Adirondack lean-to
- A 58 foot Fire Observation Tower to climb

Elizabethtown Chamber of Commerce
Located in the heart of the six-million acre Adirondack Park – the largest forest preserve in the continental United States – we are surrounded by dramatic mountain views, and are central to exploring everything the Adirondacks offer, year-round. We hope you take the time to get to know us – with lots of quiet charm to share with our guests, our smiles, warmth, friendliness are there for you, stepping back to a nicer time. Town of Lewis
The Town of Lewis, incorporated in 1805, was named for the third Governor of New York, Morgan Lewis. Located in northern central Essex County, Lewis is a small community known more for its peaceful ambiance than for its industry or tourism. It is located in the Adirondack Mountains, providing many recreational opportunities such as hiking, fishing, hunting, trapping, camping, and cross-country skiing.
Lewis is easily accessed from Exit 32 of the Adirondack Northway, or scenic Route 9 which runs through he center of town. (Click here for a map of the Lewis area.)

Champlain Valley Film Society
The Champlain Valley Film Society is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that brings current and classic movies to upstate New York throughout the year. Shows are held at the Whallonsburg Grange Hall and Willsboro Central School.
